It s very tough to get the stuff on without getting little bubbles and creases in it although a heat gun might help that. Now i would like them to be gloss white in colour. Our premium core range of foil wrapped mdf profiles are a fully finished solution so further painting or decorating is not required. A friend vinyl wrapped me full size machine it took 8 hours and it was far from perfect.

A word to the wise though vinyl wrap is a total pain in the ass from my experience. Can a satisfactory finish be achieved with wet paint applied by someone that paints for a living but not wood or can vinyl wrap of some sort be applied on a diy basis. This provides a continuous impervious coating that is hygienic stain resistant long lasting and easy to clean. I have made bath panels from mdf.

No need to seal the mdf i use the 3m super77 spray adhesive but i will warn you from experience do not let the spray get on the good side of the vinyl you will not get it all off. Without being rude but you dont understand the process of vinyl wrap the mdf panel is coated on all 4 sides first then the face and sides again are coated with a glue then the panel with the vinyl are encased within a confined space and heat with vacuum forms the vinyl to be applied to the panel thus the product. Our custom made wrap doors are manufactured through a process where we vacuum bond pvc foil onto a moisture resistant mdf supawood surface.

To achieve that longevity the adhesive must have a firm bond with the substrate. Vinyl is an adhesive backed film that is expected to last for years outdoors in all kinds of weather.
